About the Artist:
Kim’s studio is in New Smyrna Beach where she has remodeled a casual Key West style home and lives with her cat Felix. In her studio she creates her art when inspiration strikes her. Her art comes in many forms ranging from paintings, to bamboo screens, to sculptures of mermaids, or fish. Her experiences have brought out a whimsical approach to her work. Kim has also derived a vast set of art styles through her teachings of art to children. Kim is planning to expand her art by doing art shows as well as becoming known for her commissioned art such as wall murals and wall sculptures. Kim also ejoys breatuing new life into found old objects, such as windows, or any cast-a-way items. Kim lets her artwork speak to her and she has the abillity to bring out or accentuate the design that is already there. Kim’s strengths are in her ability to work in many mediums and forms such as marble mosiacs, glass, wood and paint.
