About the Artist:
Shirley DeLong
Born and educated in Canada, Shirley’s passion is water color.
Aa a member of the Palatka Art League, she was featured in the 2005-2007 calendars and was on of the 15 artists who created a wildflower mural in Florida.
Retiring after 40 years in finance, Shirley took art classes in 1993 at Temple University, PA., and received a certificate in watercolor portraits from North Light Art School.
Her artistic talents are not limited to painting. As a member of the Crescent City Florida Woman’s Club, she won the highest honors awarded in state competition for her needlework, rug making and art, five consecutive years. She now resides in Lake Luzerne, N.Y.
Shirley, currently, spends 6 months of the year in Florida and the other six months in New York.
