About the Artist:
My name is James (Jimmy) Blackwell.
I was a floral designer for 42 years. Doing this taught me color coordination and composition. The actual designing of the flower arrangements fulfilled my artistic needs at the time. Upon retirement I went back to my lifelong interest in the arts. I began taking lessons in watercolor, oils and acrylic from Pat Angelini, Terry Luke, Betty Sutliff and Monigue Sinclair. I love painting in each medium and each one presents it’s own challenges to any artist. You will find my work at various shows throughout the area, or always at my home studio.
