Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Allegra moved to Ponte Vedra, Florida, when her husband retired. After her husband died she spent long hours as a Golf Shop Manager. On her days off she played a lot of golf on the beautiful courses in our area, from St. Augustine to Amelia Island Plantation. After her retirement she relocated to St. Augustine to be closer to her son’s family. To fill her hours she took a trip to Europe and when she returned started weaving New England lightship baskets, gardening and crafts. She started painting about four years ago, first with water colors and then with oils. Currently she is studying with Pat Hitchcock and really loves creating in oils.
